PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT Thursday, August 25 We would like to invite and encourage you to attend our Parent Information Night (PIN), scheduled for Thursday, August 25 beginning at 6:00 p.m. This is a VERY important event at which the classroom teacher will give information pertinent to your child’s school year. Please mark your calendar to attend the PIN. Our Title I teacher, Mrs. Hildebrand, and Special Education teacher, Mrs. Walker, will also be available at times during the evening. If your child is involved with either of these teachers, we would invite you to stop by their rooms to touch base. You will be contacted by Mrs. Hildebrand, Title I teacher, at a later date if your child qualifies for Title I assistance. 6th grade parents - Mrs. Oborny, band instructor, will be available from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in the lobby or alcove area in the main hallway. She will be available to share information about the band program, instruments, and answer any questions. Mrs. Lafferty, P.E. teacher, will also be available at times during the evening regarding P.E. In order to help you to be able to attend, children may attend and utilize our playground equipment (gymnasium if inclement weather). If preschool age siblings attend, they should stay with older siblings on the playground. These activities will be supervised and ALL school playground rules will apply. Students will be required to stay outdoors and you may pick them up after your meeting(s) inside. There are three sessions scheduled for your convenience and to meet the needs of parents with more than one student attending Windom Elementary School. 6:00 - 6:25 p.m. All grade levels in respective classrooms 6:30 - 6:55 p.m. All grade levels in respective classrooms 7:00 - 7:25 p.m. All grade levels in respective classrooms Please plan to attend. Welcome Back to School! We are excited to welcome back the students for the 2022-2023 school year. The first day for students is tomorrow, Thursday, August 18th. School doors will be unlocked at 7:45 a.m. with school beginning at 8:10 a.m. If you have not paid your enrollment and/or meal fees, please come to your child’s respective building to make payment or you may pay online via RevTrak.

Student-Athletes that are participating in a Fall Sport, please have your physical and concussion turned in tomorrow. Mrs. Page will be at the HS until 3PM and Mrs. Heinly will be at the DO until 5PM. We are almost at a 100%, great job Redskins!

Families should receive an enrollment packet with information regarding the new on-line enrollment process next week. On-line enrollment will open on July 27. Enrollment for those that choose to do the on-line enrollment on site will be August 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your child's respective building. If you have a child in each building, you will only need to go to one building to enroll. If you do not receive a packet or know of someone else that did not, please contact the district office at 620-897-6325.

Cordell Chiropractic will be back again this year, doing physicals for our LRHS/JH students. Cost is $20 and will be done on Tuesday, July 19th after their weights session. Forms can be found in the weight room, as well as the district office. Students will need to submit their physical form and concussion form, once completed to Coach Base and will need to be submitted together. If you plan on getting your physical done somewhere else, that is fine and are welcome to grab a form to take with you. Thank you and Roll TRIBE!

There has been a change to our Youth Football Camp. Due to swim lessons already going on next week, camp will run July 19, 20, and 21st. Times will be 9:00-10:00 AM Tuesday and Wednesday and 8:00-9:00 AM on Thursday. Changes are only for the Youth Camp only. JH and HS Camps will stay the same. Thank you and RT!

Reminder: Youth Boy's Basketball Skills Academy will start up tomorrow. It is a 6 day basketball camp, running Tues and Thurs, with dates being June 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30th. You can pick up registration forms at the District Office or you can just register on arrival. The cost is $40, with campers receiving a camp t-shirt and a basketball. Checks can be made out to Erik Base. Looking forward to working with our future Redskins. RT!

Goodfellows of Northern Rice County graciously donated a care package for EVERY student in the district Pre-K through 12th Grade. Due to dismissing early last Thursday, these care packages did not get sent home with your child(ren). You are able to pick up your child(ren)'s care package at the District Office located at 455 W. Prairie Avenue in Little River between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1st and Thursday, June 2nd. Friday, June 3rd no pick up will be available. Pick up will resume the week of June 6th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
