If you did not receive the attachments regarding COVID-19 with your phone text, the attachments are available on the district's web page under Live Feed or on the Little River Junior Senior High School and Windom Elementary School Facebook Pages. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Attached is a chart and information regarding COVID-19 procedures and protocol that USD 444 must follow. KDHD and the Rice County Health Department have set forth the following requirements. Please contact your building principal if you have questions.

Please note that we are posting all guidelines on the Little River Facebook page, and the school website for home and away activities. Students and spectators, please respect all of the posted guidelines for the events posted. Indoor activities are very specific about mask covering for participants and spectators, seating arrangements for spectators, and expected social distancing guidelines. Most of the outdoor activities are a little more lenient, yet masking is required in the following areas: entrance, concession area, restrooms, and seating, if not 6' apart. It is quite a challenge for everyone, but we sure want to keep the activities going for our kids. Thanks for doing your part!

USD 444 Food Service Update
USDA announced to extend free meals to students through December 31, 2020, or until federal money expires. What does this mean for USD 444 Little River? It means ALL students attending and enrolled in USD 444 Little River will begin to receive free meals, which includes breakfast and lunch, effective Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Additionally, students will have to pay for seconds at the jr./sr. high school. Any student meal account that has an outstanding balance prior to September 8, 2020, will still need to be paid accordingly.
Any remote learning students will need to notify the school by 9:00 a.m. if they would like to receive the free meals and will be responsible for picking up the meals at the school that is closest to your residence between 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
District families still need to fill out the free/reduced application because meals after December 31, 2020, or when the program ends, will be charged according to their student meal status. The free/reduced application is also needed on file for families to possibly qualify for free textbook fees and school band instrument fees. This application helps our district receive additional state funding needed to provide resources for our students.

This year there are different guideline expectations when we travel for sporting events and activities. The guidelines will be posted on the Little River School website under NEWS, and the guidelines will also be posted on the Little River Facebook page. We will do our best to communicate these guidelines in a timely manner. Tonight for football at Peabody, there are not any attendance restrictions, but masks are required in certain areas (entrance, concession stand, restrooms) and social distancing is encouraged. Again, please see the website or Facebook for the specific details.
